This website is based on the concept of OddPawsX's individual "nutTRACKR" webapp. The purpose is to keep a log of every "nut" a user has. However, the proof of concept originally created by OPX was not scalable in making additional visualizations, in loading data, and in allowing others to track their own trends.

Inspired by a Tweet asking if there were any future plans for nutTRACKR, OPX decided to revamp the project and turn it into a multi-user, social experience. (Back when Twitter existed)

This site used to be written as a Typescript+React app running in Firebase, but one day Google started sending a daily bill for $100 USD and the site was swiftly taken down. There were some optimizations that could probably have been made to bring things back online with Firebase while keeping costs managable, but OPX has wanted to rewrite this in another framework - Rails.

So here we are!
